Narrative illustrator and multi-purpose image maker.
Sci-fi and fantasy lover with a sweet tooth.

Born and bred in East London, I have recently completed my degree in graphic design and illustration at the London College of Communication.

Feel free to email me or ask me questions. You can also check out my official portfolio at lisadagz.com or check out what I got up to on my placement year during 2011/12 on my class's blog.

So, this week I’m at the Ministry of Stories helping out with their Newsbreakers project for 10-13 year olds. Over five days this team of kids create a newspaper called Hoxton A.M. and it’ll be circulated with the next issue of the free monthly newspaper Hackney Citizen (be sure to check it out, Hackneyites!)
So, my job is to help kids out with illustrating stories and to provide my services when they don’t have time to draw (it’s primarily a writing workshop, after all). A couple of girls are doing a story on Rihanna who’s going to headline BBC Radio 1’s Hackney Weekend this June, and as we figured it might be a tad bit illegal to just download a photo of her from the internet and put her in a publication with tens of thousands of readers, it would be easier to just draw her. We might or might not end up using it, I can only hope.
The kids came up with the composition and the umbrella idea, I just do what they tell me!
